When I began shopping for a competitive company to help me address my attenuating hearing loss, a hearing impaired work colleague recommended this office and I, a career teacher of the Deaf and Hard-of-hearing, scheduled an appointment a little over 5 years ago and the service, the hearing aids and the approachability of what I’ve come to think of as the super partnership team of Jackie & Melissa sent me home with a product that reunited me with my cell phone through a Blue-Tooth “handshake”, and finally after several years of despair and nervous cardiac palpitations at having to confer with parents, and frequently people with heavy English-learner accents on the phone simply vanished. When people remarked that I seemed to have found a new sense of confidence in general, I just smiled and said, “high sharp fidelity, convenient hearing aids” — for years my Starkey Hearing Aids have become central to my quality of life. Not only that, but my relationship with the Jackie & Melissa Wonder Team has provided me with the trust necessary to feel very well-cared-for when I’ve encountered snags with the soft-ware interface and equipment tweaks. These wonderful ladies have helped me conserve the life span of my wonderful hearing aids with their efficient skills at routinely cleaning them and replacing the wax guards for me (what a relief! I’m resigned to the fact that I’m helpless at this and it’s always a pleasure to see my friends to have this done). Jackie’s hospital grade audiometer handling has helped me to monitor the steady degradation of my external auditory acuity due to Ménière’s disease all these years later and provided highly professional audiogram documentation I can use when I’m in an obligatory complex group situation and need administration support to accommodate me with ASL interpreting or CART services so I can participate in committee or group interaction (even jury duty) without falling behind. The Municipal Services Department hires a pair of qualified Legal Sign Language interpreters when it’s my term to serve on. jury panel. What a genuine game changer my hearing aids have been — I always grab a few business cards to pass around when I come across work friends or family members who have come to me with complaints of feeling depressed about their growing hearing deficits and don’t know where to start when looking for hearing instrument support. The J&M Team and my Starkey hearing aids have never let me down, and are an ongoing source of comfort in my life especially since yesterday, I ‘celebrated my 69th birthday.

Today my experience was indeed a good experience. I enjoy Listening to the hearing Technician she explained as she went along her voice was pleasant and I felt that she really listened to me and to my needs, and I was very impressed and didn’t see it coming when she actually gave me a hug because I was crying over some of my losses or transitions in life so I enjoyed my appointment today with the Jenkintown hearing center
